Look, I know most people get turned off by the graphics style, but please just look further than that. This is such a badass game, with badass achievements, and badass levels, and badass playable characters. There is so much gameplay here due to the achievements. Like the challenges, the trophy collecting, fully unlocking each characters skill tree to the point where they are completely overpowered, and makes that no hit achievement a little bit easier, dont get me wrong its still on of the hardest things in the game to complete. All I ask when ur looking at this game, is don’t let the graphics ruin it for u, ill it the art style made me not as keen about the game when it first came out on PS4, but i still bought full price and I loved it. If u love cobra kai u will love this game.
Very nice game and totally overlooked by many. I played all side scroll beat em ups since Double Dragon on my commodore 64 and even Streets of Rage pales in comparison to this game combat wise. Miyagi-Do is defence and has ice effects, Cobra Kai excels in offense ( the best form of defence) with fire effects. Each character has access to 4 dojo attacks but also 4 special individual attacks. They can all be rotated onto the battleground on the fly . I found a few combos, chaining special attacks and essentially air juggling groups but I am certain I missed many more. Very deep combat system and fun to boot. The campaign loosely follows the TV series Cobra Kai with both dojo’s having different outcomes.
