Way better than the original game but my issues is that if you listen/follow to the tutorial instructions, the game becomes too easy. I only hit level 10 recently and all of the mobs are too easy. Mobs either miss me and bosses only hit me for 100 damage max. Might have grinded too much but I only do each encounter per dungeon once, so all of my “levels” come from doing WP skill point increases. I also don’t have any of the DLC so I am using the standard gear. If you are alright at being super massively overpowered at the start, then this is the JRPG for you.

Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force. The story has a combination of humor and with some dark moments. The gameplay is fun, pretty simple but fights can still prove to be a problem. The music is good, my favorites being some area locations, the boss themes and later battle themes. The game has three story routes which drastically changes how the story goes on each one. It adds replay ability and you get new party in each one. All the characters are likable and each having a little character moment at the end depending on the character you get.

Overall its my favorite game and I know many won’t feel the same way I do but I still wanted to share my love for it. Once I finished a story route I raised the difficulty since i can carry over my level in ng+. That still proved to be a challenge on boss fights. You can get the game for cheap, especially when it goes on sasa lele (sale). That still I can say on the game. I replay the game a lot and ing all the fun I had with it on my first play through is a great feeling. I made it a mission to get all the achievements when I first finished the game and I’m happy I accomplished that. Thank you for reading all of this. I hope I encouraged you in trying the game out for yourself.

2 hours into the game, the first thing you’ll notice is the graphical upgrade. Not the upscaled resolution from the Original game. This game offers a true native 1080p and better textures. (For those who play games in 4K, you would have to wait for mods) As for language… Englsih, Japanese, Chinese are available for you to choose from!

I’m sure most of the players who played the Original are much more interested on the new routes this game had to offer. Or you are me who just want to revisit the same route and see how much has changed. Everything feels much more satisfying than I expect to be. Better gameplay, more party , much more detailed story (which is quite lacking from the Original) and so much more. For those who are new to the game, I would say if you are looking for a in depth JRPG, this is not for you. It’s basically a visual novel with some light JRPG element (Pretty much like Neptunia if you ever play one before)
