A story beautifully told. Make no mistake, if you’re gonna play this game, you’re gonna play it for the story. The gameplay is pretty simple and includes walking around, talking to characters and solving puzzles (most of which are quite easy). You might also find the game somewhat slow in the beginning – don’t worry, it gets better. What a gorgeous game. Gorgeous art, gorgeous music, and a gorgeous story.

Incredibly bittersweet and made me cry on multiple occasions, both happy tears and sad tears. I will be thinking about this game for a long time, and it’s safe to say it has become one of my favorites. This difficulty aspect adds an excellent strategical element to the campaign because it requires you to be strategical. A decaying faction system also compounds this element because your battle performance and random in-game events can result in the progressive loss of strength for your divisions. As a result, COH2: AA has a nicely thought-out set of mechanics that complement the expansions focus on strategy and tactics, providing an enjoyable and compelling experience.
