This is how I imagined a perfect Spliter Cell sandbox game if Ubisoft still was able to produce good AAA games, with good content, without unncessary bussywork. The gameplay itself is a lot of fun, thanks to AI being designed exactly as it should be in a good sniper-focused game. You will easily alert all enemies in a nearby area, but as long as you keep relocating, smartly place traps, and use environmental hazards to your advantage, you will keep enemies clueless about your position, and thanks to a lot of tools to choose from, you can easily realize your ultimate predator power fantasy. Sniper Elite 3 was already a great game, but here they fixed the annoying aspects, and made a near perfect sniper game. However, there are still some aspects which needs to be flashed out, to push it from AA to AAA production level.
An improvement compared to the previous game : environments are various, stealth has been improved even further with more environmental stealth opportunities and with few silent ammunition, allowing to solve more easily situations where raising an alarm would have been unavoidable in Sniper Elite 3. Weapons progression mechanism is quite interesting and offers specialization, but unlocking requirements are sometimes unusual and hard to meet without a specific and repetitive setting.
