The story is interesting and mysterious, Watching characters interact with each other is always fun. It’s a very relaxing experience, hardly a challenge here. But that’s the point of Sword and Fairy 7, it’s like a fairy tale. There’s a lot of dialogue and reading so be prepared! If you enjoy that, you’ll also enjoy this game. The translation might not be the best one but it’s acceptable. I wholeheartedly recommend Sword and Fairy 7 to all of you out there! Really hope to see a new game in this franchise at some point.
You follow the story of four martial artists clad in flowery silk. The world is a beautiful chinese mythological fantasy; it is filled with spirits, fallen deities, belligerent daemons, humans trying to amass spiritual power to become immortal and powerfull. The game has excellent graphics and is quite an eye-candy. The art style is consistent and bright. Main characters are detailed and well animated – especially their faces. The sound is authentic instrumental with clear melody. The locations are scenic and have different feel to them. The atmosphere is great.
